Perle is a HIPAA-covered entity with respect to physical therapy services. Health information you share in connection with your PT care is treated as Protected Health Information (PHI) and is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided to you at your first appointment and is available upon request. The Notice describes in detail your rights as a patient, how we use and disclose PHI, and how to file a complaint if you believe your privacy rights have been violated. This website Privacy Policy covers general website and booking data only — it does not modify or replace our HIPAA obligations.
If you provide your email address, we may send you occasional emails about our services, class schedules, promotions, or wellness content. Every marketing email we send will include an unsubscribe link. You may also opt out at any time by contacting us at info@perleptandpilates.com. Opting out of marketing emails will not affect transactional communications related to your bookings or appointments.
We use trusted third-party platforms to operate our business. These include Arketa for class scheduling and client account management, and Stripe or a comparable provider for payment processing. We may also use email marketing software and website analytics tools (such as Google Analytics). Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy and security standards. We share only the minimum information necessary for them to perform their functions and do not authorize them to use your data for their own marketing purposes.
Our website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to support site functionality and to understand how visitors use the site. We use functional cookies (necessary for the site to work properly) and analytics cookies (to track aggregate usage patterns). We do not use cookies to identify you personally or to serve targeted advertising. You can disable or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect the functionality of certain parts of the site.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. Our website is served over HTTPS. Payment information is processed by PCI-compliant third-party providers and is not stored on our systems. While we take data security seriously, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have reason to believe your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
We retain your contact and booking information for as long as you are an active client and for a reasonable period thereafter to resolve any disputes or comply with legal obligations. Clinical patient records are retained for a minimum of 10 years from the date of last treatment, or as otherwise required by Mississippi law. If you request deletion of your data, we will honor that request to the extent permitted by law and our record-keeping obligations.
This website is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without consent, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to request deletion of your data where we are not legally required to retain it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. If you are a physical therapy patient, your additional rights regarding PHI (including the right to restrict certain uses, request an accounting of disclosures, and file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services) are described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page from time to time. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
